Working in Stand Alone

When working in Stand Alone, you will not be able to see any information from your shop finsoft till. You will not receive results or racing information. When taking customer bets you will ,make a copy for the customer by putting the bet through the till's scanner. But you will need to retain the original copy of the bet to settle as required.

If you are working in stand alone for part of the day, once you return to normal working mode, you will have the racing database information, bets can be entered and they will be settled in your till.

However if you are in stand alone stretching over more than one day, you will be required to settle bets manually and keep track of all your shop cash movement manually (ie. everything must now be written down.)

You must follow this procedure:

1.

Count all the cash in the shop, this is your 'cash at start figure'

(ie. the cash amount in your shop at the time of entering stand alone mode is that days 'normal mode' EOD balance.)

When you return to normal working mode this is your start figure.

2.

Keep the original copies of all bets taken. Use the till's scanner to create a copy of each bet to give to the customer.

(At the end of each day add the stakes of all these bets; this is your 'Take figure' )

3.

All trading prinicples must be adhered to.

4.

Bets taken will be settled manually. Use the Marker sheet from the Racing Post display to make a note of results. Write the payout for each bet on the bet slip and mark them once they've been paid.

(At the end of each day add the payout amounts of all the bets that have been marked paid; this is your 'Payout figure')

5.

Keep in contact with the Head Office, check results and payouts information when required.

6.

All other cash movements (ie. Cash in/out, expenses, banking and Gaming Machine figures) to be recorded.

7.

Record your shop figures on CorbettLive as normal.

To check your shop cash balance:

Cash at start + Take - Payout - Expenses - Banking + any cash in - any cash out (+gaming machines) = Cash balance.

8.

When returning to normal mode; enter your shop cash at start figure as per 1.

Enter a total of each days Take (2.)

Enter a total of each days Payout (4.)

Enter any expenses

Enter any banking

Enter total of Gaming Machines turnover

Enter total of Gaming Machines Payout

Enter any cash in / out

NB: When you record your shop figures on CorbettLive don't count any figures you have entered from 'Stand Alone mode days'
